Celebration of Friends

I haven't done a great job in keeping up with all of the post, but I simply couldn't forget about our sweet friends, the Milams and the soon to be McMullens.  We have so much to celebrate!  The Milams are getting ready to have a precious baby girl, Kinley.  And Chris and Morg got engaged.  We can't wait for both of these wonderful celebrations of God's rich blessings in their lives.

It's in times like these, that you realize how thankful you are to have such wonderful friends.  We have been able to walk through so much together since we all lived together in college.  Words truly can't express my love and thankfulness for my sweet roomies! I love all (Jen, Reg, Morg, and Kim) of you girls dearly!

Here are a few pictures from Kim's Shower and Chris and Morg's engagement night :)

Run, Run, Run

I just have to brag a little on my awesome hubby.  He recently ran on a relay team for the White Rock Marathon.  He had to run in the freezing weather...along with a down pour rain.  I am so proud of how hard he has worked.  He is the most dedicated person I know and I am so proud of him.  He is now training for a Triathlon with his good friend, Jay Parsons!  Holly and I will be there 110%...cheering them on!

It's a GIRL!!!

"The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy!" Psalm 126:3

We found out this past weekend that we are having a GIRL!!!  We feel beyond blessed and thankful.  Already going through this pregnancy, we have realized all the more of how much of a miracle it is to have a sweet baby's life already forming.  And to think that God already knows what is ahead for this sweet girl just amazes us!

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.
Psalm 139:13 says "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb."

Both Matt's and my parents have told us how they began praying for us before we were even born.  We could not feel more thankful to have parents like this.  We have already begun to understand this a little more as we prepare to become parents.  Matt and I have already begun to pray that our sweet little girl will come to know the Lord at an early age and that she will live passionately and unapologetically for the Lord.  We have also began to pray for our sweet little girl's spouse.  That she will wait patiently for that man that God has prepared for her, and that her future spouse will also do the same.

So how we found out whether Baby M was a GIRL or BOY...

We went to our doctor to find out what Baby M was last Thursday.  The sonographer wrote on the sonogram whether Baby M was a girl or boy.  It took great self control on our part, because we wanted to take the sonogram that revealed what our baby would be to our baker to make cupcakes that were either pink or blue.  My sweet mom and dad so graciously hosted several of our close family and friends, at our gender reveal party.  We had to wait all the way until Saturday night to dig into those cupcakes, but it was totally worth the wait.  Words truly can't express how loved and special we felt.  From those that were at the party to those that couldn't make it...each and every person has made us feel so unbelievably thankful
and blessed.  We truly have the best family and friends in the world.  Here is a little peek :) (Too bad, I didn't think to get a picture of everyone at the party all together, but thanks to my sweet roomie, Morg, she captured so many great pics!  THANKS Morgie)

Also to add a little excitement to the night, our one and only RGIII won the Heisman Award.  Sic 'em Bears! Is it obvious yet, that we LOVE Baylor?!

Lastly, the last secret to be revealed, was on Monday morning to my precious 2nd graders.  They had been waiting anxiously for the day whether I would have Bob or Bobbette...yes these were names that were thrown out as to what we should name our child.

I think the video expresses what they truly felt...so take look :)
